Mapping borders as complex spaces of encounter

Migrant Narratives // Border Topologies Conference // MA Design Studio // Contact

Topological Atlas is a research project by Nishat Awan based at Sheffield School of Architecture and hosted by the Globalisation and Spatial Practice research group. It explores the complex geographies produced through migration, conflict and the proliferation of borders. Through examining architecture's relationship with border geographies, the project aims to produce a digital atlas as a platform and tool for those working on border areas.

The project is supported by the University of Sheffield, Faculty of Social Sciences research fund.
